4 Healthy Super Bowl Snack Ideas!

Super Bowl is one of the biggest calorie fests of the year!  Don’t ruin the party by over indulging instead throw a healthier Super Bowl party with these 4 fabulous snack ideas!

1. Easy Homemade Hummus Dip with Fresh Veggies
This appetizer is so fresh and satisfying and also easy to make!

 


What you’ll need:
1 can of chickpeas
Juice from 1/2 a lemon
1 Tablespoon of tahini
1/4 cup of olive oil
1 clove of garlic
How to make:
Blend the ingredients in a blender or food processor and serve with your choice of fresh veggies!
 

 

2. Delicious Avocado Dip & Sweet Potato Fries
Avocados are not just for guacamole! This dip is super tasty and when paired with sweet potato fries is the perfect game day snack!
 
 

What you’ll need:
4 Large sweet potatoes
A few teaspoons of coconut oil
2 avocados
2 jalapenos (seeds removed)
1 cup of greek yogurt
Juice from 1 lime
1 garlic clove
1 teaspoon of cumin
Salt & Pepper to taste
How to make:
Cut the sweet potatoes into thin strips and coat with coconut oil and salt! Evenly spread them on a cookie sheet and place in a 425-degree oven for 25-35 minutes. Time will vary depending on thickness of fries. Flip them with a spatula half way through.
While sweet potato fries are baking, place the avocados, jalapenos, greek yogurt, lime juice, garlic, cumin, salt and pepper in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth! Serve with sweet potato fries and enjoy!
 
3. Beast Mode Energy Balls
You’re going to need all the energy you can get to root for the Hawks!  These taste great and are packed with nutrients!
 

What you’ll need:
1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup almonds
1/2 cup cashews
1/2 cup raisins
1 ripe banana
1/2 cup unsweetened coconut flakes for garnish
How to make:
Place the oats, almonds, and cashews in a blender or food processor. Pulse until you have a fine texture. Add the raisins pulse until lightly chopped. Add the banana and pulse until you have smooth dough.
Shape the dough into bite-sized balls and lightly coat with coconut flakes. Serve room temperature or place in the freezer and serve frozen!
 
4. Seahawks Sundae
This is an adorable way to have a sweet treat and sneak in some healthy ingredients! Plus, it’s Seahawk inspired which makes it even more delicious!
 


4-5 frozen ripe bananas, this is a great way to use up those old bananas that you were thinking about tossing!
1 cup almond milk
1/4 cup almond butter
Large handful of spinach
To begin blend frozen bananas, almond milk and almond butter together until you have the consistency of ice cream!  Separate out half of the mixture.  With the remaining half add the spinach and blend until smooth!  Layer the white and green mixtures in sundae cups and garnish with fresh blueberries and kiwi!
